High School Internship Programs

Do you want to gain real world experience in marketing or writing while learning about how to advance gender equity in educational spaces? Apply for HERA Foundation’s Student Internship Program!

These are unpaid, educational opportunities for youth currently attending an educational institution. You will receive recognition, an official certificate at the end of your internship, and volunteer hours.

We have three available internships:

  1. Marketing Intern
    • Interested in pursuing business and learning more about marketing? Then the Marketing Internship is for you! Gain hands-on experience with building partnerships, creating social media content, managing international relations, and get the opportunity to participate in an intern competition to win awards and demonstrate your skills. Outstanding work completed by interns will be featured on our website.
  2. Web Design Intern
    • Interested in design, branding, and visual storytelling for social impact? The Web Designer Internship gives you hands-on experience building digital infrastructure for a youth-led advocacy organization. You’ll design website assets, create graphics for campaigns reaching thousands of students, develop brand guidelines that center survivor voices, and shape how HERA communicates Title IX education nationally. Outstanding work will be featured on our platform and in materials distributed to partner organizations across California.
  3. Editorial Intern
    • Immerse yourself in the world of written expression, sharpen your writing and editing skills, and get ready to collaborate with a dynamic team. As an Editorial Intern, you’ll be involved in various aspects of content production, from researching and writing articles to editing and proofreading. By the end of the internship, you will have the chance to submit up to 3 articles that will be featured on HERA Foundation’s official website.
